After many years of running an Opticians Practice in Canterbury, we have now stepped away from the High Street but certainly not from making glasses and helping you see more clearly. 

Through Grimes Vision we offer a lens replacement service for anyone who already has frames they love and has had a recent eye examination elsewhere.

 Whether your prescription has changed or your lenses are just simply scratched or damaged – we can reglaze your existing glasses with the skill and precision that you would expect from us.

It’s a simpler, more sustainable option than choosing new frames every time your eyesight changes.

reglazing your own frame makes perfect sense

We make replacing your lenses straight forward and convenient for you, usually you will not need to be without your glasses whilst your lenses are being made.

With plenty of optical experience we will handle everything personally ensuring the most care and attention at every stage. When the new lenses are being fitted your frame will be serviced with new nose pads and replacement screws if necessary, the rims and joints which you can’t normally access will be thoroughly cleaned and we will polish your frame to make it look shiny and new.

We will endeavour to make your glasses look as good as the day you first wore them. 

There are no charges for this service along with no reglaze fees and we have easy to understand all inclusive prices for your choice of lenses.

1. Consultation

We will speak with you to understand your prescription needs, discuss lens options and confirm the price.

2. appointment

We will visit you at a convenient time and place to obtain all the necessary measurements and answer any questions you may have.

3. Fitting

Around a week later we will return to professionally fit your new lenses and make any frame adjustments as required.
